Fortitude and Justice - New Stained Glass in Exhibition 4-16th June 2019

These two new designs, representing the virtues, Fortitude (courage) and Justice are currently on Exhibition at the Grange Gallery in Rottingdean, Sussex. 24 stained glass artists from around the world are taking part in an exhibition ‘Inspired by Burne-Jones’ paying tribute to the influence of the preraphaelite artist - whose best design work was executed in stained glass in the nineteenth century. Two further panels are in progress and all four will be exhibited together in Cumbria later this year.

Glass Painting Tuition: Review

‘I knew very little about stained glass, and Lizzie’s introduction to it was fantastic. It gave me an appreciation of the technique and what is involved, I got the chance to have a go on a small roundel, but most of all it gave me an inkling of quite how much skill is involved to do it professionally! Lizzie is a great teacher, very talented in her work, yet she put us beginners at our ease and was patient and encouraging. I definitely recommend signing up to one of her courses’

In October 2018, the Y3s at Jericho Primary school in Whitehaven had a chance to make their very own small panel of painted glass. The children were learning all about light, and what is it like to work in a traditional craft on old buildings.
