Working with the CCT

In 2016, the Churches Conservation Trust kindly sponsored Lizzy’s place on the William Morris Craft Fellowship Trust. In the years that followed this lead to her giving demonstrations and talks to their volunteers about glass conservation and maintenance, both in Cumbria and further afield.

Public Engagement

Communicating with the public is big part of most funded conservation projects – both explaining techniques and demonstrating traditional skills lead to a better appreciation of their continued relevance in the modern world.

“It was great to get Lizzy’s opinion on which window to choose as the trial at Wolfhamcote church – an all-round knowledge of glass, fixings and stonework means that we can get the best idea of the scope of the project before embarking on it, which is key to its success.”
